The Gallaghers Canyon Art Society (GCAS) is a non-profit organization, formalized in 2012 with the mission to "provide services for residents who seek to share, improve, inspire and exhibit their artistic skills through meetings, exhibitions, visiting artist demonstrations and workshops".
To this end, the Society typically holds an Art Exhibition and Sale annually, which is open to the public. As well, workshops by well-known Canadian artists are offered annually to members. The GCAS donates annually to local charities, many in the art field.
The Society currently has about 50 members, representing a wide variety of artistic pursuits, including painting, drawing, pottery, photography, jewellery-making, woodworking, weaving and fibre art.
